4 April 2014:

German Visa Application Centre, New Delhi and Chandigarh will remain open on the date of elections i.e. 10 April 2014 from 0900 Hrs. – 1200 Hrs. for the submission and collection of applications/ passports.
German Visa Application Centre, Gurgaon will remain closed on the date of elections i.e. 10 April 2014.
9 January 2014: 

Dear All,
We are glad to inform you that Germany Visa Application Centers in Gurgaon, Jaipur and Thimpu, Bhutan are now operational. Now you can visit your nearby Centre for the visa submission. We also offer the Premium Lounge Service in our Gurgaon and Jaipur Locations.
6 December 2013: 

Germany Visa Application Centre to be opened shortly in Gurgaon, Jaipur and Thimpu, Bhutan
The Visa Application Centre in New Delhi, Chandigarh and Jalandhar will remain open on 26 December 2013 for the submission and collection of documents.

25 November 2013: 

Dear All,
Kindly be informed that the German Embassy, New Delhi will remain closed on 24 December, 25 December and 26 December 2013 on account of Christmas and on 31 December 2013. You are requested to plan the submission of your documents accordingly to avoid any last minute delay. 

07 June 2013:Dear Travel Agents/ Representatives,

You are requested to bring the authority Letter (Annexure A) for the submission and collection of the documents/passports.

07 June 2013: Please be informed that w.e.f 10 June 2013, Monday, the travel agents are requested to fill the online form and bring the bar code sheet with the documents. The URL is:

Important notice in regard to admission to the Visa Section and Passport Section of the German Embassy New Delhi:
Visitors of the Visa Section or Passport Section are not allowed to carry the following devices Any form of electronic device (e.g. notebook, mobile phone, and camera), dangerous objects (in particular knives and weapons), bags and luggage. All visitors are only allowed to carry the documents which are asked for and required by the German Embassy.
Please note that the German Embassy is not in a position to deposit the above mentioned objects.
The safeguarding of personal belongings outside the Embassy lies in the sole responsibility of each applicant
